Screw Chillers

These Trane Chillers work in both air-cooled and water-cooled systems and work optimally in cooling loads of small to medium sizes.

We at Superior Mechanical offer these HVAC systems that can be up to 40% smaller than alternative systems while still meeting your performance needs in an HVAC system.

Chiller

A screw-driven chiller, or screw chiller, can be used within either an air-cooled or water-cooled chiller system and is best utilized for small to medium cooling loads. In screw driven compressors, two screws are fitted together and rotate in order to compress refrigerant through direct volume reduction, thereby pumping it through the chiller system. They are usually a bit more expensive than their centrifugal counterparts but are very efficient. They are also up to 40 percent smaller and lighter than centrifugal machines. Screw Chillers produce very low temperatures and can be used for areas like deep freezers in large office building applications.
